Description of the event: 

Following the 13th UfM Working Group on Sustainable Blue Economy (SBE) held in Brussels on 14 March 2023, back-to-back with the First meeting of the Blue Mediterranean Partnership (BMP), UfM countries and SBE stakeholders will meet on 11 October at UfM premises in Barcelona in order to continue making progress on the implementation of the 2021 UfM Ministerial Declaration on SBE and on the Roadmap for its implementation, with a focus on the mid-to-long-term activities and related next steps. The members of the Working Group will also discuss ongoing and future joint activities – including the 2^nd UfM Stakeholder Conference on Sustainable Blue Economy due to take place in Greece in early 2024 – and updates on funding opportunities and on the Blue Finance process in the Mediterranean.
