3rd WestMED Initiative Stakeholder Conference - 2021 Date: November 09, 2021

We are delighted to announce that a new edition of the WestMED Stakeholders’ Conference will take place on 9 November 2021 under the Italian and Libyan Co-Presidency of the WestMED Initiative.
The Conference will take place physically in Rome (Italy), and will also be live streamed in two languages (EN and FR) to allow for broader participation.
The Conference will be structured around the concept of “Corridors to Blue Development”, which is also the title of the event. In this sense, we will have three main sessions:
- Corridors to future enhanced cooperation in the Blue Economy: focused on the main political developments on the Blue Economy in the in the region
- Corridors to project cooperation: with projects that lead the way regarding impact, innovation and replicability/ transferability
- Corridors to accessing funding and financial cooperation: bridging the gap between projects and potential sources of support at the outset of the new programming period 2021-2027
Moreover, this year we will launch the first edition of the WestMED Project Awards , with the objective to identify, showcase and honour exceptional projects in different areas which provide innovative and replicable solutions embodying the WestMED initiative’s vision for the western Mediterranean. TheProject Awards Ceremony and a dynamic pitching session amongst selected projects will take place during the Stakeholders’ Conference. We invite you to submit your project using the online application form.
