events event: 51st CPMR General Assembly and 50th Anniversary

The Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions of Europe invites you to attend the next General Assembly and 50th Anniversary of the CPMR which will be hosted by Brittany Region and take place on 15-17 November 2023 in Saint-Malo (Brittany, France), the very town in which it was founded in 1973.

For the past 50 years, CPMR has been calling for a forward-looking vision for the European project, in which peripheral maritime regions can play a meaningful. In this crucial period preceding the renewal of the EU institutions in 2024, we believe more than ever that a strong Europe is indispensable to face today’s internal and external challenges.

This major event will allow us to reflect upon the CPMR’s past successes but also elaborate our future vision and deliver a powerful political Manifesto.

You will find here the link to the draft agenda. As you will see, we are inviting a number of leading figures to take part in this event. They will be able to exchange views with us on topical EU issues of concern.

Furthermore, a special session will be dedicated to the CPMR’s 50th Anniversary in the morning of Friday, 17 November to which are invited “Friends of the CPMR” including our former Presidents.

seminar on Marine Renewable Energies co-organised by the CPMR and Brittany Region is also planned the day before the General Assembly on Wednesday, 15 November.
