event:
Building climate-resilient communities through better governance - where problems meet solutions Date: September 18, 2026
Place: , - On Line
Description of the event:
When?
18 September 2026, 10:00am - 1:00pm CEST
Why?
Climate change is having significant impacts on wetlands, with the Adriatic
region standing out as one of the most significant climate change hotspots in
the Mediterranean and beyond. These impacts affect not only the biodiversity
and functioning of wetland ecosystems, but also the livelihoods and well-being
of the communities that depend on them. How can governance mechanisms turn
wetlands into an asset for climate adaptation and territorial resilience? Can
the Wetland Contract approach help translate shared challenges into coordinated
action? This event is organized under the umbrella of the Interreg Italy-Croatia GREW project.
Who?
Hosted by AGGRA - Agency for Rural Development of Zadar
County (Croatia). Open to anyone
