The Capitalization Event of the "BLUE-GREEN WAY: Innovative Solutions for Improving the Environmental Status of Eutrophic and Anoxic Coastal Ecosystems" project is scheduled for Tuesday, 24th October 2023, from 10:15 to 16:30 at the premises of the European Public Law Organisation (EPLO), located at 2 Polygnotou and Dioskouron St., Plaka, 10555 Athens.
The BLUE-GREEN WAY project, supported by EEA Grants, focuses on innovative solutions for sustainable environmental management, particularly addressing the challenges posed by eutrophic and anoxic coastal ecosystems (EACEs).
The event is comprised from 3 panels and a distinct seminar.
The first panel “Blue – GreenWay”: Reverting a problem into a solution: Eutrophication and circular economy, combination with green procurement systems in eutrophic areas” will explain the problem of eutrophication and will present the solutions provided by the Blue GreenWay project, under the circular economy principles.
The second panel “Circular Economy, Climate Crisis, Green and Digital Transition” is dedicated to challenges and opportunities arising from the twin transition (green and digital).
The last panel “Youth role in the era of blue and green economy. Cohesion policy contribution in sustainable innovation” will be focused on youth role and new skills that will be needed in green and digital transition, cohesion policy instruments and their impact towards new skills’ development. A presentation of successful ideas by selected youth representative groups and a discussion (in the form of living lab) will take place.
An important Seminar on the use of the Blue-Greenway unified platform on e-procurements will occur, entitled “Supporting clusters to actively participate in eGPP (e-Green Public Procurements)”
