The CPMR, with the support of the S3 Community of Practice, is hosting a thematic seminar focused on the future of the blue dimension in S3.

As the EU prepares for the next programming period post-2027, this event offers a space to reflect on how maritime regions can stay at the forefront of Europe’s innovation and competitiveness agenda. Over the past decade, these regions have used S3 to build strong innovation ecosystems, foster cross-border collaboration, and develop high-impact blue technologies.

The seminar will bring together regional actors, EU policymakers and experts to:

Exchange best practices in blue innovation
Explore future directions for S3 in the context of a sustainable blue economy.
Examine how maritime regions can engage with upcoming EU initiatives such as the European Ocean Research and Innovation Strategy and the Maritime Industrial Strategy.

The Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean (“UfMS”) hereby informs users who may provide personal data to UfMS of its Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”).
