Blue Energy has become one of the potential fields of expansion towards achieving the EU's 2050 decarbonisation target. In fact, the EU uses Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) as a tool for the harmonious development of activities in the marine areas of the member states as well as for the sustainable use of resources such as blue energy. Although the Northern European countries are currently ahead with regards to marine spatial planning, the Mediterranean basin also has enormous potential for the use of this kind of energy.
