Bythos Biotech is a high-tech startup in the field of blue biotechnologies (extraction of high value-added bioactive ingredients from residues created by the fish processing industry.

We specialise in the use of side streams from the fisheries sector. With years of research experience in 100% use of fish and other marine organisms, we are now putting that knowledge to use to increase sustainability in the  sector.

Our services include both consultancy, implementation planning and support, side-stream management and research.  We guide fish processing companies and local fishing towns towards a smarter use of side streams and the creation of new value chains.

Our scientific and research team has extensive experience in the marine biotechnologies research sector and we offer comprehensive research services to our clients ranging from new products to innovations in value chain management.

We are currently in the seed funding stage to start scaleup for the production of  bioactive ingredients for the cosmeceutical, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical and biomed industries.
