The “Mediterranean Experience of Eco-Tourism Network” is a multi-level and multi- stakeholder network aimed at improving the cooperation between Protected Areas in sustainable tourism in the Mediterranean region.
It was created during the meeting in Marseille on 27 September 2013, in the framework of ENPI CBC MED Project “MEET”, aimed at developing a new approach for ecotourism planning in the Mediterranean context.
The Meet Network is foreseen to settle the cooperation among the protected areas that have been selected for implementation of 20 Pilot Actions in 10 different countries, and to support them in employing and promoting ecotourism as a tool for conservation and sustainable development.
Joining the forces of experts, private sector and civil society, this interactive network offers a new collaboration platform for all stakeholders interested in Mediterranean protected areas.
