Description of the event: 

The EU Blue Parks Community is hosting its next workshop ‘Open dialogue: Next steps for the European Blue Parks initiative’ as part of the European Ocean Days. The event will explore and discuss the next steps of the Community in the deployment phase of Mission Ocean and Waters.

This will be the third in-person meeting of this growing network, now connecting over 130 organisations involved in marine protection. The workshop offers a unique opportunity for members to engage directly, exchange insights, and strengthen their involvement. 

Why attend?

• Take stock of Mission Ocean and Waters progress on marine protection and restoration, including strict protection.

• Discuss how the EU Blue Parks initiative can contribute to accelerating the achievement of the Mission Ocean and Waters targets for the next deployment phase, and beyond 2030.

• Share your perspectives on the initiative’s next steps, including priorities, challenges and enablers.
