Description of the event: 

This SEARICA session is organised to explore the role of interregional cooperation between non-EU regions and EU Regions from across the Atlantic, including outermost regions, in the resilience of coastal communities. The meeting will assess the role of the European Parliament and the European Commission in supporting those efforts.

It is organised within the framework of the Transatlantic Pilot Project. Its general objective is to foster the economic resilience & competitiveness of Atlantic coastal region by creating a cooperation platform at transatlantic level to initiate new tangible projects and innovation. This pilot project chose to initiate transatlantic cooperation on Maritime industries, and blue economy in general, with attention to climate change mitigation and adaptation as a core value for cooperation.
