Marine Traffic is part of an open, community-based project. Partners are encouraged to join the community and upload data (AIS data based) to support this open 'community-based' project, contributing to free information for thousands of interested parties and many research applications. It is dedicated in collecting and presenting live data on ports, vessels, wind forecast, stations, etc. The website is organized into three interfaces: 1. Live map: information such as ports, vessels, wind forecast, stations, etc. can be shown on a map; 2. Vessels (list); 3. Ports (list).
