On February 19^th, 2025, Observers and Experts gathered together at the UfM Secretariat premises in Barcelona, Spain, for the 17th meeting of the UfM Regional Platform on Sustainable Blue Economy.  

UfM countries and Mediterranean SBE stakeholders gathered together in order to continue to set the path towards the implementation of the 2021 UfM Ministerial Declaration on SBE and its related Roadmap, with a focus on:

i) The agreed upon Monitoring, Reporting, and Evaluation System of the Ministerial/Roadmap;

ii) Continued joint follow-up to the 2nd UfM Stakeholder Conference on SBE held in Athens on 19-20 February 2024;

iii) Joint initiatives and partnerships in the framework of the Roadmap, including ongoing synergies with the WestMED Initiative;

iv) Medium-to-longer term planning;

v) Funding opportunities.
