The Andalusian Maritime-Marine Cluster (CMMA) is an association of sustainable, innovative and technological companies specialized in the Blue Economy, based in all the blue subsectors: logistics, ports and infrastructures, shipbuilding industry and maritime equipment, renewable energies, fishing, aquaculture, coastal and maritime tourism, blue biotechnology, R&D&I, underwater robotics, nautical or maritime surveillance, among others, transversality that gives us very outstanding representativeness. We are also interlocutors and members of different business organizations. Currently, this organization is in full expansion, a benchmark for blue growth in the region and the country.
The association works with the quintuple helix model, so that, together with our companies, we have forged alliances with the university and the world of knowledge and research, governance, and non-governmental organizations focused on the defense of biodiversity and marine and coastal historical-artistic heritage and the media through which our message reaches society, the ultimate beneficiary of our management, messages and values.
The Cluster was created in 2014. Its organizational structure comprises an Executive Committee comprising all the economic sectors that comprise the Blue Economy, and a specialized staff: Management, International Projects, Member Services, Consultancy, and Communication departments. It has its own communication channels, such as the magazine 'Azul Sur', website, social media profiles and a mailing list of almost a thousand companies and organizations of interest in the field of the Blue Economy.
Since its inception, CMMA has promoted numerous projects linked to the Blue Economy in the region of Andalusia, collaborating at the international level and following the guidelines established by the European Union for its promotion.
