Join the Med is a knowledge hub dedicated to addressing sustainable tourism issues in the Mediterranean. Its primary goal is to identify practical tools, methods and solutions that promote and advance sustainability in the tourism sector. By highlighting sustainable tourism practices and offering policy-oriented insights, the platform supports a more responsible and resilient tourism model. Designed as a dynamic and interactive platform, Join the Med features engaging visualizations and synthesizes contributions by mapping pilot activities, key actors and collaborative synergies. It serves as a collaborative space where knowledge is synthesized to drive sustainable outcomes. This initiative is developed under the Sustainable Tourism Mission of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme 2021–2027, which fosters cross-border cooperation among 69 regions in 14 Northern Mediterranean countries with the overarching aim to build a climate-neutral and resilient society for the benefit of its citizens. The Sustainable Tourism Mission fosters circular tourism models that prioritize ecosystem sustainability, leverage innovative technologies and protect natural resources and cultural heritage. Community4Tourism governance project supports the mission by consolidating a competitive innovation ecosystem to advance circular economy, promote climate change adaptation, safeguard biodiversity and contribute to the transition towards a resilient and climate-neutral Mediterranean region.
