Description of the event:
The 1st workshop of the EU Blue Parks Community: Working together for the protection and restoration of marine ecosystems and biodiversity, will be held online on 6 December 2023.
The first workshop’s primary objective is to present the EU Blue Parks Community and its benefits.
The aim is to set and cultivate a collaborative space for networking, knowledge sharing, and relationship-building among national and regional authorities responsible for Marine Protected Areas’ designation and management, related MPA initiatives, relevant EC-funded projects (Horizon Europe, Life, EMFAF), and appropriate networks.
To ensure the event aligns with participants' needs and interests, there will be surveys and interactive sessions that help understand expectations and guide future activities within the Community, including upcoming thematic workshops. These engagements will enable us to ignite public awareness about EU Blue Parks and establish a dialogue generating valuable insights to inform our journey towards the ambitious Mission targets.
