In the framework of
COP27, and with the participation of a wide range of Mediterranean Sustainable
Blue Economy (SBE) actors and stakeholders, the UfM is organizing a Side Event
on the Sustainable Blue Economy in the Mediterranean ‘A rising tide which lifts
all boats’.
Advancing Sustainable
Blue Economy at Mediterranean level requires joint and concerted actions. The
Side Event will bring together an exemplary representation of the large and
dynamic Mediterranean SBE Community, highlighting key initiatives and projects
relevant to capacity building, research, innovation, investment, and the
private sector among others, directly contributing to addressing climate change
and accelerating the transition towards carbon-neutral and circular economies,
in line with the priorities of the 2021 UfM SBE Ministerial Declaration on
Sustainable Blue Economy.
