The OTTERS course will specifically target the educational sector, focusing on secondary teachers’ capacity building needs. The primary objective of this course is to equip educators with the essential tools and expertise required to empower students and enhance their understanding of the marine & freshwater environment.

The overarching goal is to cultivate a cadre of teachers with the necessary skills, institutional support, and knowledge to inspire students to take proactive measures in monitoring ocean health, combating pollution, and advocating for ocean stewardship. The course will concentrate on providing secondary teachers with effective methods and resources to encourage young citizens to recognize their role in marine and freshwater environmental management.
