event: Webinar: The win-win approach of POSBEMED2: reconcile the tourist use of a beach with Posidonia Oceanica Conservation

Description of the event:

The Mediterranean Biodiversity Protection Community (MBPC) project, led by the European Topic Centre of the University of Malaga (ETC-UMA), and its Working Group 2 on Sustainable Use of Natural Resources, coordinated by the CPMR Intermediterranean Commission, is organizing a webinar on sharing best practices & results on Posidonia beach management and their acceptance by different stakeholders.

The webinar is part of a short series aiming to transfer the Mediterranean Biodiversity Community's pre-selected case studies and to provide peer reviews for discussing their replicability potentialities in the Mediterranean region.

During the webinar (1h30), the activities developed by POSBEMED2 will be showcased for more nature-oriented management strategies and to educate stakeholders, increase knowledge about Posidonia and raise awareness. An opportunity will be given to stimulate a quick “peer review” from the audience webinar, on strengths and room for improvements of the showcased best practice.
