EuroVIP aims to co-ordinate European maritime SMEs, associations, larger companies, and research institutions to promote the application of research results and transfer of innovative services and technologies, through a viable means of technical and operational collaboration. Operational collaboration is facilitated through the European Maritime Collaboration Portal that provides a central site for establishing dynamic partnerships. The portal helps to identify technologies with the highest potential impact and build partnerships for their exploitation. It is a repository that provides information of up to date services and technologies as well as an online step by step facility for users to establish partnerships with the right services and technologies from the right partners at the right time, considering issues such as features, quality, price, location, and valuation. Portal can be used for search (for services, technologies, information or companies providing them and calls for collaboration), networking, network creation, collaboration, exchange of services, technologies or information etc. Registration is necessary. Technical collaboration is delivered by Technical Collaboration Platform (TCP) that provides a software environment for data and task level management and co-ordination enabling different Computer Aided Design/Engineering (CAD/CAE), information and software tools to be brought together and operate in a unified and holistic manner.
