The purpose of Zakynthos Chamber of commerce, within the limits of the territorial unit where they exercise their powers, is as it was mentioned the provision of services to support the activity of their members, as well as the delegated exercise of public law powers related to the establishment, licensing and operation of businesses.

The Chambers are mandatory, autonomous and independent associations of natural and legal persons, and are Legal Entities under Public Law.

Also, it’s important to note that the island of Zakynthos is in the area of the Adriatic Sea.

The Project aims at strengthening its alignment with EUSAIR thematic priorities, of the Adriatic-Ionian area.

The Chamber also participates in:

1. ASCAME – Association of the Mediterranean chamber of commerce and industry - member

2. AIC Forum, of the Adriatic &Ionian chambers, having an active role, as one of the four main stakeholders, in drawing up the European strategy for the Adriatic &Ionian Macro-region.

3. ICC -Hellas International Chamber of Commerce Hellas holding the position of member of the board

4. INSULEUR- Network of the insular chambers of commerce and industry of EU, holding the position of treasurer.
