In the framework of the event "2018 Blue Sea Land" (4-7 October, Mazara del Vallo, Italy) the UfM Secretariat organized the thematic panel “Marine litter and biodiversity: Plastic Busters MPAs in action in the Mediterranean”. The panel focused on the Mediterranean answer to the global problem of marine litter and, as such, share experience on how national and regional stakeholders can work together, in a coordinated manner and in their various capacities, to address one of the most serious threat to the Mediterranean Sea.
