The Sun&Blue Congress, an important annual meeting on Tourism and the Blue Economy, is set to take place from November 20 to 22, 2024, at the Cabo de Gata Exhibition and Conference Center in Almería, Spain. This congress offers a unique platform for experts and stakeholders to explore the latest trends and solutions in Blue Tourism, encompassing sectors such as destinations, beaches, ports and cruises, water sports, gastronomy, hospitality, culture, and heritage.

The event will feature a comprehensive program, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, all aimed at promoting sustainable practices within the Blue Economy. Notably, the congress will host the first international meeting of beach and coastal managers, underscoring its commitment to fostering global collaboration in sustainable coastal development.

Attendees can look forward to engaging with a diverse array of speakers and participants, all dedicated to advancing the Blue Economy's role in sustainable tourism.

The Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) will notably participate in two key events during the congress:

• WestMED flagship side event on Sustainable Tourim and the new WestMED Technical Group on Sustainable Tourism.
• A session within the plenary on islands, under the Islands and Territories Track, titled "Blue Horizon: Future Visions for Sustainable Islands."
