The 1st SEACLIM Open Science Highlight Webinar on “Ports and Adaptation to Climate Change” will explore how climate projections, oceanographic information, and coastal hazard assessments can support climate risk analysis and adaptation planning for ports.

Building on SEACLIM’s ambition to bridge climate science and operational oceanography, the webinar will feature two perspectives from experts working closely with the port sector: Javier López Lara (IH Cantabria) will discuss how climate projections and oceanographic downscaling can contribute to climate risk assessments for port infrastructure and operations, and Antonio Góngora Zurro (Puertos del Estado), will focus on the role of operational oceanography in supporting Spanish ports.
