GISIS (the Global Integrated Shipping Information System) is developed and maintained by the International Maritime Organisation and the website aims to allow on-line access to information supplied to the IMO Secretariat by Maritime Administrations, in compliance with IMO's instruments. GISIS is composed of several sub-systems including modules on various themes/topics: Maritime Security, Recognized Organizations, Marine Casualties and Incidents, Port Reception Facilities, Contact Points, Pollution Prevention Equipment, Piracy and Armed Robbery, Formalities Connected with the Arrival, Stay and Departure of Persons, Simulators, Radio Communications and Search and Rescue, Condition Assessment Scheme, Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Information on Local Regulations, IMDG Code Feedback, MARPOL Annex VI, Evaluation of Hooks. Registration is needed to have access to the information.
