Mersin Chamber of Shipping was established as a Professional Organization on 13 March 1989 in order to develop maritime trade in accordance with the national maritime and transportation policy and with the public interest; to protect the interests and meet the common needs of our members; to develop the maritime profession and blue economy; to facilitate professional activities; to establish common rules; to advise the relevant authorities on maritime issues and at the same time to preserve discipline, morality and solidarity of maritime profession. In order to improve maritime profession and therefore to increase Mersin's and our country's share in maritime trade, our mission has been defined as transforming the strength of our stakeholders into synergy; strengthening our members with accurate, fast and reliable information under increasing competition conditions and contributing to the permanent resolution of sectoral problems
