The 16th meeting of the UfM Regional Platform on Sustainable Blue Economy (SBE) will bring together in Faro (Portugal) country representatives (UfM Focal Points on SBE) and Observers to continue making progress towards the implementation of the 2021 UfM Ministerial Declaration on SBE and its related Roadmap. As per usual practice, funding opportunities – ongoing and in the making, including the Blue Mediterranean Partnership (BMP) – ongoing and emerging joint projects/initiatives, and specific synergies with the WestMED Initiative will be discussed.
Furthermore, under the agreed upon Monitoring, Reporting, and Evaluation System of the Roadmap/Ministerial, the remaining indicators (those not yet presented during the 15th meeting of the Regional Platform; June 27, 2024, Brussels and online) will be shared and discussed, providing a full picture on progress achieved towards the implementation of the Ministerial/Roadmap.
The meeting will take place in Faro (Portugal) on October 2nd, 2024, back-to-back with the next WestMED Steering Committee (01 October) and WestMED Hackathon (03 October), associating also the UfM’s work on maritime transport.
