Apply to become a SpongeWorks Associated Region and receive support to enhance the sponge function of your landscapes, improving water retention, soil health, and climate resilience.
Eight regions will be selected to receive up to €100,000 each in grant funding to develop and implement innovative sponge measures and strategies tailored to their territory. Apply before 1 January 2025!
Who can apply?
Local and regional authorities, as well as river basin organisations and authorities, from EU member states and Horizon Europe associated countries, except:
Austria, France, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
